Water Supply & Demand Analysis
Kleinschmidt has considerable experience in evaluating land use issues, assessing the consistency of proposed projects with existing land use plans and policies, and developing land and resource planning documents. Our staff is familiar with a variety of local, state, and federal land use planning laws and regulations and experienced at designing projects and proposed mitigation measures to ensure consistency with existing plans and policies. Many of Kleinschmidt’s projects have involved landscape-level analyses encompassing large geographic areas. These studies typically involve watershed and river basin analyses that include evaluations of existing and proposed land use activities, as well as the existing planning and policy framework for guiding future land use activities. These studies have also typically involved multidisciplinary planning to develop reasonable and balanced proposals for promoting economic development while ensuring adequate resource protection. These studies often culminate in the development of a Land or Resource Management Plan, which provides guidance for future development.
