Susan Ouellette joined Kleinschmidt in 1999 providing administrative support to the Executive Staff and was granted the role of Manager of Human Resources in 2001. Susan Ouellette’s role as Manager of Human Resources at Kleinschmidt encompasses several key areas of organizational administration. As the corporate Human Resources Manager, Ms. Ouellette is responsible for benefits administration and compensation; workforce planning and employment; strategic human resource development; and employee relations and communication. Ms. Ouellette leads the Administrative Support Team, is a member of the 401(K) Advisory Committee, and serves as the EEO Officer. Ms. Ouellette is a certified teacher, a certified Peoplemap trainer, and earned her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Thomas College.
As Kleinschmidt’s first Human Resources Manager, Ms. Ouellette has established a number of HR systems and has revised the Personnel Practices Manual and the Document Standards Manual. She has also drafted the firm’s Affirmative Action Plan; facilitated a 401(k) Plan transition from one provider to another; and assumed responsibility for the corporate payroll function. Ms. Ouellette is also currently leading the corporate Strategic Planning Initiative for Professional Development and Career Opportunity as well as the firm’s Succession Planning effort.
Throughout Ms. Ouellette’s professional career, she has acquired over 30 years of experience in business administration and business education. Ms. Ouellette’s experience also includes employment in the areas of construction, manufacturing, medical office, and retail management. Ms. Ouellette has consistently enhanced her professional development and growth with her participation in numerous workshops and college courses relating to the areas of business management, communications, and education throughout her career.
